Description
The colour is a beautiful red-purple which sparkles. However, the nose is more reserved and needs patience. It blossoms on opening into a palette of darker fruits such as bilberry, blackberry and blackcurrant with wood essences such as cedar and incense. The mouth feel is suave and well covered. This is an upright, enigmatic wine of remarkable persistence. To combine with medallions of veal with girolle mushrooms, a risotto with chorizo and parmesan, the famous bœuf bourguignon or with game.
