The Domaine de l'Olivette, in the same family for more than 200 years, is one of the oldest in the Bandol appellation.
Originally, Olivette was a "countryside" where polyculture was practised: wheat, vines, market gardening and naturally olive trees that gave the Domaine its name.
The Sylvabelle family from Marseille, ancestors of Jean-Luc DUMOUTIER, the current owner, acquired the Domaine in the 18th century.
From 1930, when the Domaine was transferred to Raymond GIRAUD, Jean-Luc's grandfather, culture gradually focussed mainly on the vine, especially after the creation in 1941 of the Bandol appellation, of which the Domaine was one of the pioneers.
Subsequently, the last generations, Jacques and Denyse DUMOUTIER, in the 1970s, then recently Jean-Luc and Elisabeth undertook a significant modernisation of the cellar, which is now equipped with the most efficient equipment.
