This vintage comes from north-facing vines located on a terroir of marl, limestone, and gravel in the Marsannay appellation. "Champs Perdrix" is a microclimate located within the appellation. It is the northernmost of the Côte de Nuits.
The Geantet-Pansiot estate pursues traditional viticulture practices using sustainable methods throughout the year, without the use of weedkillers or chemical fertilizers. The grapes are harvested manually, and vinification is also carried out traditionally, with maceration in concrete vats. Finally, the wine is aged for 14 months in oak barrels, with 30% of the barrels being new.
