Marselan is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, it is a deeply coloured variety well adapted to Mediterranean climates, but it is rarely seen on its own.
Cote du Brain Les Combettes Marselan 2019 from Domaine Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot who are active and famous in Burgunday, and particularly passionate for Terroirs in the Minervois.
It is dark purple in hue and imbued with plentiful tannins. It is fully ripe and velvety in this full-bodied red that offers plummy, black cherry fruit and hints of dark chocolate. Very dense palate, still youthful and restrained with a slight oak dominance, dense and vigorous with good length and substance.
Perfect to accompany with Mediterranean cuisine, red meats, stew or to enjoy on-its-own!
