Notes:
This wine presents an intense red colour, shinny with ruby tinges.
The nose and palate offer notes of red fruits, dark chocolate and spicies.
Tannins are thin, soft and silky.
The mouth is full and smooth, with expressive fruity notes culminating in a final spicy liquorice taste,
balancing elegance with a little self-indulgence.
Food Pairing: Slow-cooked Lamb, beef, duck, game meat.
Wine-making:
The wine have been ageing during 10 months : 20 % in foudre, 30% in demi-muids and 50% in concrete tank.
The age of the vines is between 40 and 70 years.
In 2022 the yield per hectar was around 25hl/ha.
The vines are located mostly above the village and in the hillsides adjacent to the village.
The vines have a southern exposure with scattered stone surface resting on underground Miocene.
