Notes:

The Garons and their two sons own over seven hectares of vines in Côte Rôtie, in the very north of the Rhône Valley and work plot by plot to produce mainly traditional wine. They also produce a Côtes du Rhône as a merchant under the label Famille Garon.

The plot Seyssuel is on the opposite side of the river to Côte-Rôtie, but made in much the same way with often remarkably similar results. Age in the cask for over 14 months, it build up the aromas of violets and black cherries with smoke notes and licorice. Full-bodied with fine and powdered tannins and a good length.

Food Pairing: Best to go with grilled meats like Chicken, livers, Spicy Asian cuisine or strong cheese.
