The wines of La Chapelle de Labrie come from the vines of our estate, mostly but not only the Saint Sulpice terroir, on limestone clay with gravel and blue clays, aged in French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.
A blend of 90% Merlot bringing roundness and charm, and 10% Cabernet for red fruits and freshness.
Notes:
Aromas of white roses, crushed stones and black currants. Some tobacco, too. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and pretty depth of fruit. Crushed velvet texture. Chocolate and hazelnut at the end. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink after 2026.
This is a tiny parcel from vineyards planted in stony and sandy soil. Full and soft and gorgeous. Decadent and velvety texture. Menthol and ripe fruit. — JS 93
