Notes:
From the 2.6 hectares Lanestousse plot – facing the Pyrénées in the south – was crossed by the Greenwich meridian, the wine-maker decided to give it the name of its geographic coordinates: longitude 0 and latitude 43°N. The terroir concept takes its full sense as only one unique wine, made from grapes coming from this exact point on earth, can exist. An extremely rare wine crafted only during in exceptional years.
The nose is fully-expressive, both minty and peppery complemented by notes of black fruits. On the palate, this wine is open, powerful and unctuous. This wine reveals some fruity and spicy aromas with some licorice notes. Long on the palate, with supple tanins for well balanced and powerful wine. It is best to decant before serving.
Food Pairing: To pair with meat such as duck, game (venison, salmi de palombe) or a dark chocolate cake.
