Tasting
This cuvée brings out the soul of the limestone terroir where it matured and the
unique personality of Merlot. The nose subtly blends black and red fruits, liquorice and notes of
freshness. The palate is characterized by a very nice balance between roundness, density and liveliness,
supported by a complex aromatic palette (blackberry, morello cherry, discreet woodiness...).
Technical
The grapes for this vintage come from the unique “Les Gendres” plot, on a limestone terroir. Great care is taken in the production of this wine, the harvest of which was done manually. The plot is managed in organic farming: working the soil, no weedkillers or chemical fertilizers, respect for natural ecosystems. Breeding takes place 50% in new barrels and 50% in barrels that have already received a wine. 12 months in barrels on lees with stirring.

This Bergerac property has been known since the 12th century. It is located on the site of an ancient Gallo-Roman villa. The De Conti family, owner since 1981, has an area of 55 hectares, and produces wines which make it one of the essential references of the Bergerac appellation. The entire property has been cultivated in Organic Farming since the end of the 90s and certified by Agrocert since 2009. Since 2010, the wines are increasingly aged in tuns and amphoras, in order to give the wines more tension, more freshness and respect as much as possible the spirit of the terroir, of this limestone which gives Bergerac wines all their elegance.
