Description
Les Monts Damnés" stands north of Sancerre, on a steep hillside looking south for solar maturities synonymous with power and complexity. The forty-year-old Sauvignon flourish in these places delivering a formidable juice. The aging is carried out on lees in Burgundian barrels for 12 months without sticks.
This 2022 vintage is the perfect marriage between the natural minerality of the terroir of the "Monts Damnés" and the greed of the 2023 vintage. Here is a Sancerre as sensual as it is tense, quite accessible young and fit for custody: mandarin and green mango, gunstone and chalky, smoked/iodid and bread crumbs. Consistent mouth and of course, a very nice balance for a solar vintage! To drink from today and over the next 10 years.
