Serving as a link between the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, this village at the foot of the Corton hill enjoys a perfect location. The old vines in the lieu-dit "Valozières", with their rich, reddish-brown soil containing numerous siliceous pebbles and flinty limestone debris, produce solid, structured wines with a deep, sustained ruby to garnet robe.
When young, the aromas evoke a spring garden with red berries, and with age, they evolve into peony, jasmine, brandied fruits, truffle leather, and mushrooms. The body is firm, rich in chew and tannins.
