Pommard dates back to ancient times, with its name derived from Pomona, the goddess of fruits and gardens. Kings, dukes, lords, and abbeys once competed for its finest crus.
This cuvée is composed of vines located both at the base of the slopes and on the higher elevations of the appellation, giving it a deep red color—dark purple ruby—with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cherry pit, and ripe plum.
A complex, full-bodied, and powerful wine.
