This estate has been a family-run business since 1926. It spans 10 hectares, with vines ranging from 10 to 70 years old. Today, the estate is managed by Dominique and Chantal Vaupré, who have been joined for the past two years by their son, Florent. Domaine Vaupré produces Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon-Solutré, Saint-Véran, and Crémant de Bourgogne.
Since Florent joined his father Dominique in 2009, the entire family vineyard (11 hectares) has been either plowed or grass-covered. Treatments are carefully managed, fermentation is done using indigenous yeasts, and aging on lees has been extended until bottling.
On the palate, notes of citrus (lemon, orange zest) as well as peach, fresh butter, vanilla, and toasted bread. A wine that is ample, powerful, and well-balanced between tension and roundness.
