Description
Region: Limoux, Languedoc, France Producer: Maison Antech Vintage: 2020 Grape: Mauzac
Type: Sparkling White
Size: 75cl
Notes:
Fresh orange blossom, lemon leaf and green-pear aromas lead the nose of this pale straw-colored pour. It's medium in weight yet balanced by ample acidity on the palate, with additional notes of pear skin and melon rind that carry through to the close. Overall, it's a well-balanced pour to enjoy now.
Mauzac is the identity grape variety of Blanquette de Limoux, a grape variety perfectly adapted to its territory and the most resistant to climate change. For these reasons, Françoise has created “M le Mauzac”, a range of sparkling wines which represents the Mauzac its own way. The most ultimate, 3.0, is a traditional method without sugar added at the 3 stages of the process (winemaking, tirage and dosage).
Food Pairing: A versatile fizz, beautiful as an aperitif with canapés, smoked salmon and lighter dishes.
