Note:
Located in the central part of the Côte de Nuits, the vineyards grow on well-drained clay-limestone soils. This appellation includes grands crus such as Clos St-Denis, Clos de Tart, Clos de la Roche or Clos des Lambrays. Morey wines have both the softness and finesse of Chambolle, and a certain power and structure typical of Gevrey-Chambertin. They are quite colorful, releasing powerful aromas of small red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant). After a long aging, the aromas are enriched with woody, spicy or animal nuances.
A cuvée of quite young vines (15 years old), but good plants on a good limestone-rich soil. It's lifted, juicy, then with a certain complexity and a touch of liquorice as well as the fine red fruit profile. 'almost an apéritif wine.
