Tasting Notes:
Auxey-Duresses, a lesser-known neighbour of Meursault, offers excellent value Côte de Beaune Chardonnay. Expect a pale gold colour with aromas of white flowers, orchard fruit and a touch of hazelnut, leading to a round, fresh palate with good balance — a more approachable, earlier-drinking style than its grander Meursault neighbours.
Food pairing:
Western cuisine: Roast chicken, creamy pasta, soft cheeses
Asian cuisine: Steamed fish, dim sum, mild seafood dishes
